The incumbent will join a group of talented Engineers, Scientists and Innovators with tremendous top-side potential devoted to solving novel technological problems with national defense implications in the fields of Autonomy and Unmanned Vehicles among others. This position can be in any of our offices, with preference being the Portland, ME or Ann Arbor, MI locations. Responsibilities
General Description:
The ideal candidate will have a M.S. or PhD. in computer science, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, naval architecture, or similar field with an emphasis on system engineering. The individual will develop system frameworks and designs to address customer needs in the field of autonomous and unmanned vehicles. Strong software development experience for physics-based modeling is highly desired. The candidate will be asked to solve technically challenging problems, conduct state of the art engineering simulations, work with teams to develop evaluation plans for system validation and qualify data for training Machine Learning algorithms. Strong engineering fundamentals, ability to work in a team environment and excellent communication skills are required to be successful in this position.
